This project dealt with the construction of the new Pollenza (Mc) Health Department, located in an abandoned area which was once part of the gardens of the nearby Monastery of St. Francis. The basic theory of the project was to rebuild, even partially, the old wall of the ancient Monastery garden that ran along the street Degli Orti that characterized this corner of the historic center of Pollenza. The goal of the project, in addition to the new construction of the department, was to systematize and upgrade the external areas. The building had to discreetly fit into the old historic core, integrating with the pre-existing buildings with its new exterior areas, pathways, parking areas and areas for relaxation. The facade and pavement materials used are typical of local architecture of brick and travertine stone.
